I miss the time when metal bands tried to play music that was pretty. I haven’t been able to get this one out of my head, but it’s entirely welcome to stay. In fact, let’s just bring 1986 back to stay, with its Peace Sells, Master Of Puppets, and Reign In Blood.

For songs that mention the band’s name, you can always count on metal.
Of the holy triumvirate of speed-metal (Slayer, Metallica, and Megadeth), Killing Is My Business is my favorite debut album — muddy production, funky bass tones and all. The “Rattlehead” riff is one of the most wickedass speed-metal riffs of all time.
