Yesterday I mentioned that one of the reasons I’ve never had transport issues at the Treasure Island Music Festival is that I get there at noon. You experienced types out there know this is when you make the best discoveries — the names are new and you can get right up close.
If I hadn’t just heard of them a few weeks ago, Sleepy Sun would probably be my favorite discovery of the weekend. San Francisco by way of Santa Cruz (the way of all great bands and people).
I mean, come on! You know you want some of this at noon on Sunday:
