Who Says I Don’t Read Books?

Light On The South Side (photo by Michael L. Abramson)I’m glad I had a reason to stop by the Numero Group site today, because otherwise I might not have this new obsessive object of desire: Light On The South Side, a 132-page book of photos taken by Michael Abramson at Chicago’s South Side nightclubs between 1975 and 1977.

And sure, it’s a Numero release, so there’s also a 2-LP selection of the music you might have heard were you lucky enough to have been there, packed with liner notes you wish you’d written. And crazy bonuses for the first 250 and 1000 orders.

Not cheap at sixty bucks, but solid with value and soul.
