Freight And Salvage’s New Home Is Opening!

by Kevin Vegetables on August 19, 2009

Freight and Salvage's New HomeLegendary Bay Area venue Freight and Salvage has always held a dear place in my heart for hosting the most amazing folk/bluegrass/etc. performers in an all-ages venue. (There’s also no booze, which has a delightful effect on crowd noise during songs.)

So it’s good new to hear that construction is finishing up on their new, super-green building, and they’ll be moving in on August 27.

Best of all, they’re hosting a free open house on Saturday, August 29 with loads of performances and like a milllion free workshops for players of all skill levels, so tote along that banjo or ukulele you’ve been meaning to play. You can find me at “So You Always Wanted To Play The Fiddle?”
