I’m tellin you, chilluns, after a long day of beating my head against the Internet and a long night of dreaming about General Motors vehicles in the Iraqi desert, this is exactly what I needed.

When you live in the Bay Area, it can be easy to assume that anything that’s a big deal here and in Black Rock City might be a local phenomenon. But guess who’s headlining a stage at Lollapalooza on a Saturday night?

Lorin Ashton, the man behind Bassnectar, has been simultaneously asking people to think and making them 100% lose their shit for years. I’ve seen and forgotten a pile of DJ sets in my day, but Lorin’s are always memorable and always capable of being legendary.

His latest full-length, Cozza Frenzy, is due up in a few weeks, and the single’s out this Tuesday (8/4). Here’s a sneaky streamy:
