You Can Keep Tomorrow — After Tonight, We’re Not Going To Need It

Japandroids

Black to the future, y’all.

In their own words, Japandroids are “two sweethearts still naive enough to think they’ll never sell out,” and if you’ve kicked around this blog long enough, you know that’s pretty much exactly what I love.

They make a writer’s job really easy — they also say they’re “a two-piece band trying to sound like a five-piece band,” and that their influences are The Sonics, Mclusky, and your sister.

“imagine GUNS N ROSES meets IGGY & THE STOOGES meets THE SONICS meets THE ROLLING STONES!!!! that’s the band we wish we were. we’re not though. not even close.”

About to take the tour of their lives around North America (SF locals: Hemlock on August 2, bring earplugs). This is the sort of thing you should really go see. They’re going to be having an awesome time. Why shouldn’t you?
