We Talk Of Being Sober, As The Sun Evaporates

Good morning, dear hearts. Have we had a Holy Crap Alert in a while?

Usually an HCA comes in the form of some straight-out-of-nowhere band that has an insane new take on things that adds one more step to the stairway to heaven.  Today’s alert, however, comes from a more personal, local place. As in “wait a second, I thought I lived here and paid attention to music, so how did I miss Garrett Pierce?”

Personal expectations and shame aside, I’m stoked on Garrett Pierce’s All Masks, and I’m glad to have finally paid attention.

I’m also wicked flippin jealous of his willow tree.

Bonus Folk Of The Wood

This is the sort of sound/vision combo that makes me (at 6AM) tearily happy to be a West Coaster.
