The last time we heard from Camera Obscura, Tracyanne Campbell was letting Lloyd Cole know that she was ready to be heartbroken.
I guess she must have gotten her wish, because she’s worse off than ever on the new album. She says that she wouldn’t even call her lyrics ‘lyrics’ — “Just documentation of what was going on with me for a while.”
I’m not sure if she needs a hug, but after listening to My Maudlin Career a few times, I think I do.
