I’ve been taking PJ Harvey for granted. But admit it — you have too. You haven’t? It was just me?
I’m not sure what it’s been. I’ve always thought she was really talented, but I haven’t really listened heavily to much other than Rid Of Me. I even remember a bad moment inside my head, when I accused her of trying too sound too much like Patti Smith. You know, like that’s bad.
But I was listening to the songs from her 2006 live DVD and I was all “Oh, man, this is great. I am going to be so sorry if she’s not there anymore.”
So, you know, I apologize. And I promise to go next time she comes around.*
