Great jeeminy frog-loggin CHRISTMAS I love United State Of Electronica.
As I’ve said before, they should be one of the most popular bands on Earth, playing packed, sweaty, ass-shaking rooms from sea to smiling sea.
They have a devoted following in their native NW, but both times I’ve seen them in SF, U.S.E. had their work cut out for them.
The first time, they were opening for The Hold Steady, which meant 200 dudes with their arms crossed and 5 beautiful freaks wigging out in front of the stage. The second time they were headlining, but I guess word didn’t get out because there were like 15 people, and I had invited half of them. Sure it was a Sunday, but come on, people.
How mother-loving ever, both times U.S.E. brought the hardcore stadium-sized love regardless. But the more the merrier, dear hearts! Go see United State Of Electronica when they visit your town! You will have a wonderful time, and you will leave feeling way better than you did before you showed up.
Their sophomore album Loveworld is coming in the near future, but they couldn’t wait to share a little.
