It seems to me that a lot of my posts are like, “This guy never got his due,” or “People talk about her style, but never her voice,” or the like. Like I’m trying to right some wrongs. Remind me about this when I go back into therapy.
Anyways, the Ramones are certainly lauded for all sorts of things, but it’s rarely mentioned that they wrote maybe one hundred great songs.
“Havana Affair” makes me both smile and rock the f*ck out every time I hear it.

PS – Did you know there was a bootleg of the historic gig when the Ramones rocked London on the U.S. bicentennial? Inspiring the future members of the Clash, Damned, Sex Pistols, and Pretenders who were in the audience? Oh YES!
