Ever since I discovered an album of safe-driving songs in my high-school library, I’ve had a thing for instructional and industrial (as in Dow, not Test Dept) music.
Honest Abe Records put out a superfoxy collection of industry-al tunes called Product Music — it’s hard to find on CD, but good ol’ Listener Jim posted the mp3s on WFMU’s Beware Of The Blog, which is always the place to go for things that are great and a little weird.
Kisses to Ida & Kendall, who first played this for me. I still picture Kendall sitting atop his pretend tractor and waving every time I hear it.
