If This Is The Last Song That You Hear

by Kevin Vegetables on September 23, 2008

One of the natural benefits of the festival format is getting the chance to hear music from people you’re unfamiliar with (whom you’re unfamiliar). The Treasure Island folks did a great job this year of putting top-notch local acts into the early slots.

I had heard praise for Or, The Whale over at ipickmynose, so I dragged my rocked carcass back over to the island early on Sunday for their kickoff set. Glad, glad, glad? Oui.

May I have some pedal steel guitar and two-part female harmonies with that? Oh, thank you!

I’m telling you, dear hearts, go checkem live. You have my backing. This Friday 9/26 at the Starry Plough, and 11/21 at Cafe du Nord (if you go to this one, say hi — I’ll be the guy with the smile).
