Nobody Needs To Be Out Of Sight
I’m kickin’ it Vegetable stylee in Cambridge, Mass. right now, sampling the over-the-air wares. I’ve been staying right down the street from MIT, and their station WMBR has been fine company today. First off was the Late Risers’ Club (30 years of punk and counting), and then I hung my hat at the Lost And Found, a 60s & 70s rock show. The DJ said that since the 50th anniversary of NASA was getting so much attention (? ), he’d pay tribute by playing spacey tunes.
The first thing that happened at the Lost And Found was my mind getting expanded by some serious freakin’ Hawkwind. But the tune that really said Vegetable to me was this 1972 Kinks number (any song about overcoats and minorities is OK in my book).
In the future all humans will have steel drums and Marc Bolan warbles.
