You Got A Engine Too

Graham Central StationI have a soft spot in my heart for old songs that are meant to glorify Native Americans but end up seeming really offensive (Adam And The Ants, Iron Maiden). I was considering doing a week of them, but I couldn’t think of five songs that were actually good. I mean “Indians” by Anthrax is silly and offensive (”Cryyyy for the Indiaaaaans!”), but it’s not good.

Today’s song is great, but it isn’t even really trying to say anything positive in the first place. It’s just funking out on the “Indian” motif.

It’s from the first album where Larry Graham put his name out on its own in addition to the band’s name, but one Graham is enough for me.
