Merde Sainte

FancyYes, yes, yes. So I don’t know how I missed this. Probably because I don’t think you can buy their music outside of France quite yet. But still. The singer co-wrote Justice’s D.A.N.C.E., and they are supporting Justice on their current tour. Don’t you love it when you get into a new band and then all of a sudden you realize you already have a ticket to see them?

Props to Tim Sendra at the Allmusic Blog for hipping me to these cats.

I tried really hard to find a good mp3, but the best I could track down has a little DJ chatter(?) at the beginning, and cuts off short at the end. I thought it better to leave it that way than to edit the file and degrade the quality. (Anyone out there know how to edit an mp3 without having to further compress it when you save it?)

UPDATE: You know what, transcoding be damned (that’s right, I said it). The mp3 is probably from the radio anyway. This one’s just a tide-me-over until the U.S. release, so here’s an edited copy.

Fancy - Seventeen (17) from the geniusly titled Kings Of The Worlds (browse it on French itunes, but I think you can’t buy it unless you are lucky enough to be French)

And because you’ve been so good, the video:
