Ibuprofen From Nuprin Is Keeping Me From Flippin’ Daily

KMDKMD has an interesting story. In 1991 they put out Mr. Hood, an album both political and humorous. During the production of their second album, their DJ was struck by a car and killed. I don’t know what direction they were originally going in, but KMD surprised a lot of people by releasing an album, Black Bastards, that was dark and angry, and had a cover so provocative that some stores wouldn’t sell it.

After that, KMD’s main rapper Zev Love X disappeared from the music scene for years. He later resurfaced as the mysterious, masked MF Doom, who is not without his own controversies.

You can’t make this stuff up. Wait, where was I? Here’s a great song from Mr. Hood — one of two tracks on the album featuring Bert. Yes, that Bert.
