Peaceful Sheep On Clovered Hills
It’s probably more of a pop-jazzy-bossa-samba-thing tune than a “Latin” tune, but because categorizing music can get sticky, I just use whatever the AllMusic Guide says. That’s why I have an “R&B” category, but I don’t think I’ve ever described a song as “R&B” in my life.
Anyways, this song rules. Marcos & his wife Anamaria.

Kevin,
I got your link from the campo site. Is this the same lady on the Jobim box set (the one with fishy shaped disc covers) version of girl from Impanema? I love Waters of March and I think she sings it.
Very fun site. You have now justified my $5.00 impulse buy of Harmon Kardon speakers from the computer fair.

Glad to hear from you, and thanks for listening! Sorry you can’t make it out for the reunion.
You’re not far off - the guitarist on Girl From Ipanema (João Gilberto) got his wife Astrud to sing on it. If I’m not mistaken, she had never sung professionally before, though she went on to have a successful career.
I guess Marcos Valle figured if the wife-singing formula worked in 1963, it might work in 1968. I don’t think his wife had much professional experience either.

Same deal with Claudine Longet. She was married to Andy Williams. Cute, off-key chanteuse.
